PayPower Review

"Are you one of those millions of users world wide, who no matter how hard they try, can't get a credit card, due to bad credit history?"

FACT: 1 in 3 people in the USA don't have a bank account!!!

Lets face it, not every internet merchant lives in the US, and due to this a lot of marketers face problems. Many others, in spite of living in the US, don't have a credit history that makes them eligible to apply for credit cards.

Does this sound like you?

Want examples of problems faced by such people??

  • Paypal, which is an extremely inexpensive service, after the patriot act does not accept users from Malaysia, Pakistan and quite a few other countries.

  • Paypal won't let you withdraw money into your international bank account except for a few countries.

  • Many of us don't have great credit histories due to which we never get credit cards issued to us.

  • Commission Junction won't accept affiliates from India, but are OK with Indians providing a US/Canadian Address.

  • Certain websites don't accept any other means of payment except for credit cards.

PayPower, unfortunately seem to have gone out of business as their site is down from since 15th Jan

So what alternatives do you have?

1) Ikobo: This merchant processor seems to be a very nice alternative to Paypal. They have an innovative system where  iKobo sends the person receiving the money a Free i-Kard (Visa Electron Card) on which this amount is credited. A future option of withdrawing it to your own bank account is going to be added.

This card costs a one time payment of $15. There after any money sent to you is credited to this card. You can withdraw the money from any VISA ATM world wide.

The merchant processing fees are as low as Paypal, 2.9% +29 cents per transaction.

All money is FDIC insured and you can accept payment from over 170 countries including  those banned by Paypal.

They also provide Instant Payment Notifications (IPN) like Paypal.

2) Moneybookers: Another great new service is Moneybookers. This provider too accepts users from almost all countries of the world barring a few. But on the whole accepts all those countries banned by paypal.

The best feature is that in 28 countries you can withdraw the money into your local bank including countries like Hungary and India.

Transaction fees are as low as 1% and you are protected against chargebacks.

They too provide Instant Payment Notifications (IPN) like Paypal.

So How does this benefit you?

  • With ikobo Your transactions are relatively anonymous as you can withdraw the balance in your account as cash from any ATM.

  • Inexpensive merchant processing for merchants residing in countries that are refused by Paypal.

  • With moneybookers you can withdraw money to your bank account if you reside in any of the 30 countires on their list.

So the bottom line is, if you were looking for a cheap and reliable merchant processor and were looking for a Paypal or Paypower alternative...

Now you have two Moneybookers and Ikobo
